This Week In 1859

The following news articles first appeared in Harper’s Weekly, Vol. III, No. 155 on December 17th 1859.  Interesting items include the political fallout resulting from the Harper’s Ferry Incident, the inauguration announcement of Governor John J. Pettus, and some correspondence relating to the execution and burial arrangements of John Brown.
